Why I Created Smart Behavior Plans

Over my career in behavioral health, I've sat with many families and teachers who were doing everything they could for a young child who was struggling: a toddler who bit when the room got crowded, a preschooler who melted down at every transition, a child who couldn't yet say what they needed and said it with their hands instead.

Again and again I saw the same gap. Teachers were expected to manage complex behaviors without the individualized support, training and resources needed to respond consistently. Clinical recommendations, even good ones, often didn't fit a classroom with one teacher, twelve children and a schedule that never stops.

I built Smart Behavior Plans to make professional behavioral support knowledge practical and accessible for early childhood educators: what to look for, which strategies may help and why, exactly what to say, how to know if it's working, and when it's time to bring in additional professional help.

My commitment is to approaches that are developmentally appropriate, family-centered and respectful of every child's dignity, and to being honest about what software can and cannot do. This platform supports teachers; it doesn't replace professional assessment or care.
